This approach keeps children engaged, builds understanding, and makes the school day feel cohesive rather than fragmented. Extensions in Art, STEM, and Practical Life give every child a chance to explore further.

As a wife, mother of three, and licensed K–8 teacher, I bring over 20 years of experience in education. I hold a BS in Communication from Boston University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Simmons College. After years in traditional classroom, I felt called to deepen my practice and returned to earn my America
As a wife, mother of three, and licensed K–8 teacher, I bring over 20 years of experience in education. I hold a BS in Communication from Boston University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Simmons College. After years in traditional classroom, I felt called to deepen my practice and returned to earn my American Montessori Society (AMS) certification. That decision changed everything — it reaffirmed my belief that the child, not the teacher, should be at the center of every learning experience. That philosophy is at the heart of every Canyon Trail Curriculum unit I create.
